Regulation of Street Vending

Continue to advocate and monitor the implementation of the Hawking and Non-Hawking Zone issue as per the Supreme Court Order 2013 and The Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act 2014.

Keep citizens informed about Hawking and Non-Hawking Zone guidelines and network with Resident Associations, NGOs and CBOs regarding the monitoring these in their areas.

Advocate for the Maharashtra Government adopting the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act 2014 for the State and framing guidelines/rules for Mumbai.

NAGAR has been appointed as an NGO member on the Town Vending Committee for Zone-I. Appointed as its representative on the TVC (Zone-I), Ms. Nayana Kathpalia, Trustee, presents NAGAR’s views at the meetings.
