Following the judgment pronounced in the long-standing matter concerning reserved public open spaces in Public Interest Litigation No. 1152 of 2002 before the Bombay High Court, NAGAR has continued its efforts towards seeking better implementation and regulatory safeguards for reserved open space plots occupied by slums and their subsequent development.

As part of this continued legal and advocacy work, NAGAR filed a Special Leave Petition before the Supreme Court of India in 2025. The matter is currently ongoing as of May 2026.
